Two routes into aesthetic medicine
Level 7 PG Diploma
The gold standard — a full postgraduate programme with structure, supervision, and a regulated qualification.

Meet your trainer
Having worked as a nurse in aesthetics for over 25 years, I have had the privilege of seeing our specialty grow and evolve enormously. That experience has shaped not only how I practise, but how I teach. Alongside my clinical work, my wider involvement in patient safety, governance and professional standards gives me a valuable perspective on where aesthetics has come from and where it is heading. Bringing that experience and insight into my role as a trainer at Interface Aesthetics, and sharing it with the next generation of practitioners, is a genuine privilege.
Prescribing
Training and prescribing
Nurses and midwives do not need to hold an independent prescribing qualification to begin every element of aesthetics training. Prescribing responsibilities, professional scope and insurance arrangements must be appropriate for the treatments you intend to provide.
Interface Aesthetics does not deliver the independent prescribing qualification itself; this is obtained separately through a university programme. Speak to our team before booking so that your training plan reflects your registration and prescribing position.

No. Independent prescribing qualifications are obtained separately through a university programme.
About training routes
No, it’s not currently mandatory, but the JCCP-approved, Ofqual-regulated Level 7, which is offered by Interface Aesthetics, is seen as the gold standard. Furthermore, given that we know that imminent regulation and licensing will require a minimum educational standard to allow you to obtain a licence for practice, completing the gold-standard qualification that is already JCCP-approved is the best way to future-proof your career.
