Aesthetic medicine is a rapidly expanding, diverse and exciting industry. As the aesthetics industry continues to grow, demand for non-surgical aesthetic treatments has risen year on year, with a wider acceptance of such treatments by all demographic groups in society.
Practising facial aesthetics requires a mix of dexterity, analytical skills and artistic flair. Whether it is learning how to administer Botox® safely and effectively, or to provide dermal filler treatments which subtly rejuvenate and volumize an ageing face, Interface Aesthetics places hands-on training at the centre of all our Botox® and dermal filler training courses.
Health Education England (HEE) has set out standards for best practice in the medical aesthetics industry, with input from the GMC and a multiple medical and surgical associations. Nevertheless, training courses in Botox® and dermal fillers can vary widely in their content, detail and delivery. Our training courses for nurses are fully accredited, led by surgeons and designed to provide the greatest exposure to real patients. All training follows GMC and HEE guidance , and our courses are recognised and accredited by the two leading cosmetic insurance providers in the UK (Hamilton Fraser and Cosmetic Insure).
Interface Aesthetics courses are designed for registered healthcare professionals, meaning that on your training course you will be learning in a group that meets your level of expertise and experience. Our commitment to training only registered healthcare practitioners speaks both to our belief in promoting patient safety and our recognition of the direction of travel in regard to regulatory changes ahead.
The rigorous training that doctors undergo means that they are well placed to move into aesthetic practice, where there is a heavy emphasis on facial anatomy, excellent communication and consultation skills. Specific challenges for doctors include the move outside of the NHS and into the private sector, business set up and running, and marketing. The temptation may be to follow the market practices of non-healthcare practitioners, as well as unregistered healthcare practitioners. Ensuring that you continue to practise in aesthetics in a way that is adherent to continued registration with the GMC and to your duty of care to patients is key, especially in an environment which is headed inexorably towards greater regulation.
Either as a career change, or as a skill diversification, doctors are well equipped to move into the area of non-surgical aesthetics, with excellent professional and financial opportunities in what is a growing market in the UK.
Our Botox® and Dermal Filler training courses for nurses have been created to ensure that our delegates go on to become confident and competent to practise medical aesthetics independently. Whether you are starting out in aesthetic medicine and looking to diversify your skillset, or if you are an established aesthetic doctor seeking to progress in your training, Interface Aesthetics has a selection of CPD-accredited training courses to meet your individual learning needs.
Interface Aesthetics is an approved training provider for Allergan, meaning we exclusively train our delegates with products that meet the highest safety and quality standards. On our Botox® courses, you will learn to administer botulinum toxin using the most widely recognised and sought-after brand, Botox®, and all dermal filler training is with Juvederm® products.
